A Lim Kim Victorious At 2020 U.S. Women’s Open December 14, 2020 - La Mirada, CA
VOICE CADDIE Brand Ambassador, A Lim Kim, shot a final-round 4-under 67 to capture the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas.
With temperatures in the 40s and a wind chill in the 30s, Kim entered Monday’s weather-delayed final round five-shots behind leader Hinako Shibuno. Kim would go on to close with three straight birdies to finish one stroke clear of world No. 1, Jin Young Ko and Amy Olson by one stroke.
"Still can't really soak in that I'm the champion," said Kim. "I've been eyeing the leaderboard throughout the round and I knew how many shots I was back," she said through a translator. "That's probably the reason why I tried to hit more aggressively, tried to attack the pins.” It was A Lim Kim’s major debut in the US.
